Using the "Select Fitbit Data" page

On this page, you can access different types of data that is collected by your Fitbit device. After you make your selections for "Type of Data", "Detail Level", "Start Date" and "End Date" you will see a display of the data you have selected.

You will also then be able to download the exact same data, if you choose, to your computer for further analysis with other tools, such as Excel.

The types of data you can select are as follows:

Activity Data

If your device captures your activity data, then you can access this data. If you want to see what data is captured and is available via the Fitbit API click here to see the Fitbit Activity API documentation

Heart Rate Data

If your device captures your heart rate, then you can access this data also. If you want to see what data is captured and is available via the Fitbit API click here to see the Fitbit Heart Rate API documentation

Sleep Data

If your device captures your sleep data, then you can also access this data. If you want to see what data is captured and is available via the Fitbit API click here to see the Fitbit Sleep API documentation

If you read any of the above documentation, you will soon gather that there are typically two different levels of detail for the data available. You can access summary-level data by selecting "Summary" from the "Detail Level" drop-down. This is referred to in the documentation as "Time Series" data, and gives summary data for each day of the selected date range.

You can also access much more granular data, referred to in the documentation as "Intraday" data. This level of data is presented and displayed ready to be downloaded when you choose "Detailed" from the "Detail Level" drop-down.

When you use this feature, you may find find that certain types of data are not displayed, although they appear in the API documentation accessed through the links above. In this case please feel free to email the webmaster of this site with your requests for access to this missing data and he will endevour to accomodate these requests in future releases of the site.
